I have been doing the South Beach diet for two weeks now. Today is my last day of phase 1- the most restrictive phase of the diet. Phase 1 allows no sugars or carbs. I thought it would be really hard to give up sweets, bread, and chips, but it really hasn't been that bad. Luckily, my willpower has paid off! I have lost six and a half pounds during the first two weeks. My goal was to lose ten pounds, so I am over halfway there. Phase Two starts tomorrow. I will be able to begin eating good carbs again. Yay!!!
